Chief (Hon). Akinyemi Akinlabi is a former Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Oyo State. He built his interest in agriculture when he joined Temperance Enterprises Limited (Now Obasanjo Holdings Ltd) in 1985. He developed skills in farm management, accounting and farm finance in this organization. He was later transferred to Ibad Limited, a subsidiary of the company that deals in manufacturing, distribution and installation of irrigation equipment across Nigeria.
At Ibad Ltd and Obasanjo Holdings, he executed and managed many contracts awarded by the federal government institutions among which are from the various River Basin Development Authorities, Nigeria Sugar Company, Bacita, Sunti Sugar Company, Lafiagi Sugar Company Ltd and many others.
He also got experience in the public service of USA as a Family Services Counselor and later as a Protective Investigator at the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families between 2000 and 2007 when he returned to Nigeria. He is an executive director of Business Insight Inc. of Miami and Irrigation Projects Ltd, Nigeria.
He attended University of Ibadan for bachelors in economics, university of Ilorin for MBA and Florida International University for Masters of International Business.
